Beliefs & Convictions

God

God is the Creator of all, and is all-powerful, all-knowing, and infinite in holiness and perfection. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (1 John 5:1-8)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God incarnate conceived by the virgin, Mary. Christ possesses within him full humanity and full deity. He lived a perfect, sinless life and gave himself up willingly to be the Ransom for sinful mankind. (John 1:1-14)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God. He inspired men to write the Holy Scriptures and provides understanding of Scripture to men. He calls men to repentance and enables a Christ-like life to be lived. (John 16:7-14)

The Holy Bible

We believe in the Holy Scriptures as the very Word of God. The Bible was written by men but divinely inspired by the Spirit of God for the teaching, reproof, rebuking, and edification of the saints. We believe the Bible is inerrant and authoritative. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Man & Salvation

All men are by nature and choice sinful and rebellious against God. Man, in his wickedness, cannot save himself from God's righteous judgement. Salvation can only be found through the grace of Jesus Christ that is given when a person believes fully on Christ for salvation. (Romans 3:10-23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Church

The New Testament Church is an organized body of believers with Jesus Christ as its Head. We believe in the priesthood of believers and the preservation of all saints. God has given to the Church two ordinances: baptism and the Lord's Supper. (Matthew 28:16-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24; Hebrews 4:15-16; Ephesians 4:11-16)
